Aqua Alert is an emergency notification system, similar to AMBER alert, that allows law enforcement to ask for the public's help in searches for people missing or in distress on the waterways. Messages sent may include pictures of individual(s) missing, the watercraft involved, and a written description of the situation.

“To promote awareness of personal, water craft and paddle craft safety across the nation. Especially programs relating to the Okaloosa County’s Aqua Alert Pilot Program, the Aqua Alert Act of 2023, and the growth of all future Aqua Alert Programs.” ​
